What is the best way to travel?

Arrival by train to Jenbach, change to the Zillertalbahn to Mayrhofen, take the hotel bus from the station.

From Germany:

  • Via the A7 and the Fernpass Füssen, past Innsbruck on the A12 to the Zillertal exit, the Zillertal road to Vorderlanersbach
  • Via the A8 and A93, through Kufstein to the exit Wiesing, ( Zillertal), Zillertal road to Vorderlanersbach
  • Toll free journey over the Achenpass and Achensee is possible

From Hungary:

  • Via the A4 (Cross the border at Neusiedler See) and S1 towards Graz, on the A21 / A1 onto the A8 to Germany, over the A93 (Brennerpass) in the direction of Kufstein, on the A12 to the exit Wiesing (Zillertal), Zillertal road to Vorderlanersbach

Perfect organisation

Register at the local council office, social and health insurance (from 1st working day), apply for an E-Card (medical insurance).

On the first day of work you will receive the final draft of your contract. You will be sent a provisional copy in advance.

In most departments, our team members are provided with a uniform free of charge. To be on the safe side, you will receive a checklist shortly before your arrival, which is individually tailored to your department and workplace.

Living in and around the Tuxerhof?

All staff accommodation is fully furnished and lovingly decorated. You are welcome to bring your own belongings and personal items, as all rooms have a large pin-board. All staff houses are equipped with a utility room with washing machines and tumble dryers. Please bring your own detergent. In addition, you will find an ironing board and iron on each floor as well as a vacuum cleaner and mop for communal use. You will find a free WLan connection in all accommodation buildings.

At both of our Team accommodations there is free parking available directly in front of the house. Additionally it is possible to reserve a garage parking space at a monthly charge.

Our team members receive free meals 7 days a week. You are welcome to come and eat on your days off.

The Team Café is a meeting point for all employees and a place to relax during breaks and converse with each other.

During your breaks there is a sheltered smoking area available. Please remember to wash your hands afterwards.

Working together and participating is a central part of our formula. Team members are actively encouraged to participate in the development of the hotel and to contribute their ideas.

Yes, as sharing experiences together is very important to us. Depending on your work plan, you regularly have the chance to take part in team events. Last year, we took part in wine tasting, held a curling competition, got into the Christmas spirit with a Saint Nikolaus party and walked towards the sunrise.

For our staff we have a 70m² fitness area available (daily from 7 am to 10 pm) and the swimming pool (daily from 7 am to 10 pm) are free to use in your free-time. On their days off our team members are also encouraged to take part in the varied activities programme including guided hikes, free of charge.

You can take part in the active programme offered to the guests, therefore getting to know the region better. The Tuxertal offers a variety of sporting activities. You can also use the fitness room in the hotel and in the team accommodation in Landhaus.

When and where can I eat? Your loved ones are welcome to visit you in Tuxertal. Please check with your head of department beforehand so that your days off can be arranged accordingly. For us, a visit is two nights. For longer stays, an overnight fee of €20 per day is required. Each visit should be registered with the managers in advance.

On joining the team, each member receives a bonus booklet and a team card, which can be presented at the partner companies to receive a discount. The bonus booklet includes numerous partner companies including fashion & lifestyle, enjoyment & culinary delights and activities and sports.

Please organise your own necessary medicines, e.g. Cold remedies, cough sweets, pain-killers. The nearest pharmacy is the Steinbock-Apotheke in Mayrhoen (Hauptstr. 444 Tel. 05285 / 62313).

There are two general practice doctors in Tux: Dr. Peter Peer in Juns (tel. 86180) and Dr Jutta Wechselberger in Lanersbach (private doctor – Tel. 86222).

For employees outside of Austria
(EU members)

  • De-register with the statutory health insurance in your home country (proof of employment may be required)
  • Register with the Austrian Health Insurance automatically through your employer and receive an insurance number.
  • Personally apply for the e-card at the Federal office for immigration and Asylum in Innsbruck
  • On returning to your home country: apply for pension to be credited.
  • Fill in a registration form at the local council office in Tux
  • In time de-register in your home country (permanent residency in Austria)
  • With main residence in Austria after a max. of one month
  • With a second residence in Austria after a max. of one year
  • TÜV in Innsbruck to confirm vehicle data
  • Tax office uses vehicle data to calculate the NoVA (standard consumption figure). Transfer fee to pay to tax office
  • Registration via the insurance company with transfer certificate
  • If main residence in Austria, then a new insurance policy must be taken out
  • If the main residence is still in your home country (within the EU), then clarify the insurance regarding foreign coverage
  • Not required for a short stay in Austria
  • Practical for longer stay (more than 1 year)
  • Certificate of right of residence in Austria under EU law as an EU citizen.
  • Application must be submitted no later than 4 months after entry into Austria
